An evening of songs and poetry reading by the authors of their own works. Songwriters performing will be Gary Davenport accompanied by Gus Wanner on mandolin and Genevieve Davenport on cello doing new songs not yet recorded and from Vita Nova. Gus Wanner will also perform songs of his own. Gus has been performing for a good 30 years now and is a songwriter in his own right. Poetry readings will be done by local poets Jesus Cordona and Russell Hoke. Jesus has been writing and performing his work for many years and has an album of poetry due out in the coming year on Red Wheelbarrow Records. Russell Hoke is a prolific poet and songwriter who has several LPs of his songs and of his poetry.
